Simon “Cowboy” Geldart

Born – Stockton-on-Tees

Hocky Background – I started playing hockey for Billingham bombers U14 until U18s, winning the league. The forum closed for referbishment. I came back as a Comet when it reopened, until I travelled to the big smoke and played 3 seasons with the Lee Valley Lions. I returned to Billingham just in time to win the Kingston tournament with the comets and then signed for the Buccaneers.

Message for our younger stars -As a late starter I spent alot of my early career on 3rd and 4th line. I learned quickly that it’s not the amount of time you spend sat on the bench, it’s about making the time on the ice count. So sit quietly, wait for your time and when it comes, put in the work, do your job and show why you deserve more ice time.
