An elf has been spotted near the forum who may cause festive chaos at the rink! 🎅🏒🥅. We’re warning all players, parents, coaches, and managers to keep an eye out—no stick tape, water bottles or kit bags are safe from this mischievous little helper!

Whether it’s sneaking into the locker rooms or rearranging the pucks, this elf is up to no good. So, if something goes missing or a prank gets pulled, you know who to blame!

🎉🎂 On behalf of everyone at the club, we want to wish a very Happy Birthday to one of our unsung heroes, Laura!

Laura is always working tirelessly behind the scenes, from roles that included managing Learn Hockey, U10s to being the backbone of our Buccaneers as team manager in their inaugural year to name a few!. She’s truly one of the key people who keep our club running smoothly, and we’re so grateful for everything she does.

We hope you have an absolutely wonderful day, Laura—you deserve it! Thank you for all that you do for the club and our teams!

U12s Build Strength On and Off the Ice!

Our U12s (with some special guests) kicked off their day bright and early with an awesome team-building session at unit13gym in Shiremoor. The morning was all about developing the key skills and physical conditioning that every hockey player needs to excel on the ice.

Under the expert guidance of Andy from Unit 13, the players worked on strength, conditioning, stick handling, and shooting—all essential elements for building speed, endurance, and precision in hockey. A huge thank you to Noah (U16s) and Mia (U14s) for stepping up to help coach and inspire the younger players!

🏒 Dylan Sills for proving that goalies don’t just stop pucks—they can shoot them too!

Strength and conditioning are vital for success in ice hockey, and mornings like these help players build the skills, discipline, and teamwork needed to thrive. Well done to everyone who took part—you’re all skating stronger than ever!

This week’s Mini Stars of the Week are… Gabriel and Isaac! 🎉👏 These two skated their hearts out, showing off some serious determination and effort. Future hockey legends in the making? We think so! 🥅🔥

U12s Battle Hard in Sheffield 🏒

Our U12s hit the road today to face Sheffield’s U12s A team. It was a challenging matchup, with the game resulting in the mercy rule at 8-0, but there were plenty of positives to take from the ice! 💪

The team showed fantastic determination, improving with every period. By the third, they had tightened up and barely conceded, demonstrating their resilience and growing strength as a unit. 👏

A massive well-done to our MVP, Ava Crumbie #95, for an outstanding performance! 🌟

It’s back to training now as we focus on building from today’s experience. Keep up the hard work, team—we’re proud of your effort and spirit! 🔥🏒

🏒 This Weekend’s Hockey Action – Don’t Miss It! 🏒

We’ve got an epic weekend of ice hockey lined up, and it’s one you won’t want to miss!

🔥 Saturday at The Forum:
We’re welcoming Leeds Knight as they come to town for two thrilling matchups:

⏰ 4:00 PM - Our U16s hit the ice to showcase their speed, skill, and determination.

⏰ 6:00 PM - The U19s take centre stage for what promises to be a spectacular display of hockey.

These games are FREE to attend (even the U19s!), so grab your family, friends, and loudest cheers! The players love the energy of a crowd.

Sunday on the Road:
Our U12s head to Sheffield for a 3:00 PM face-off. We know they’ll leave it all on the ice, playing with heart and enjoying every second of the game. Let’s send them all our support as they battle it out away from home!

Whether you’re at The Forum or cheering from afar, let’s make this weekend one to remember. Good luck to all our teams – play hard, play fair, and most of all, have fun!
