Name –  Ronald Pierce ‘Ron’

 Place of Birth – Detroit, Michigan

 Favourite uk or NHL team – Detroit Red Wings

Hockey background – late start. Started with Roller hockey. Then our goalie got hurt and I went in goal. I told my dad that day I wanted to be a goalie and I wanted to do ice hockey next. So the next year at age 11 I started playing ice hockey.

 Any words of encouragement for our younger stars – don’t give up and keep playing. If you work hard and love the game you never know when your chances to play at the next level will come.  Develop your off ice athleticism too, but take whatever ice time you can get and make it count.
